These transition curricula are typically full-year, high school credit-bearing courses taken by students at risk of being placed into developmental (also known as remedial) courses upon enrollment in college. In many cases, students who successfully complete a transition course are officially designated as “college ready” and therefore bypass developmental education altogether. Educators who are interested in developing transition courses currently have limited information about how others have done so. The Convergent-Parallel Design under Mixed Research Method has been followed for carrying out the study. The study is delimited to coastal Odisha, so the population of the study comprised all the stakeholders of such schools such as: HMs, Teachers, and Parents and Community Members. Tools used for data collection are interview schedule for Head Master/ Pradhan Acharyas; Questionnaire for teachers; and interview schedule for parents-cum-community members. As states begin to examine new strategies for improving student outcomes and developing the next generation of innovative, socially conscious citizens, policymakers frequently ask how to effectively accomplish this. Increasing access to arts in education by integrating it with other courses–such as math, science and language arts–is one strategy to consider.
