eric.ed.gov har udgivet: The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Standard #2 (communicating aids students to clarify their thinking) emphasizes that reading, writing, discussing, and listening to mathematics are all vital parts of learning and using math. Six of the 12 math series chosen for California’s elementary program list titles of children’s trade books useful for supplementing lessons. A random selection of trade books listed in the six series was made to determine whether or not the book qualified as literature for classroom use. From this selection, a recommended literary book can be chosen for each of 12 different math topics for the early grades. A sample lesson plan could help integrate V. eric.ed.gov har udgivet: Every year, the Improving Teacher Quality State Grants Program issues a Request for Proposals (RFP) to award funds provided annually from the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. In recent years, each RFP has focused on a specific objective tied to state priorities in teacher quality. Six grants were awarded in 2008: (1) Bell Gardens Science Project; (2) Science and Academic Library; (3) Algebraic Learning in Elementary Grades: Results, Independence, Achievement (ALEGRIA!); (4) Teacher Efficacy Affects Math and Science Success (TEAMS!); (5) Advancing Collaboration For Equity In Science (ACES); and (6) Making Algebra Accessible Project (MAAP). tandfonline.com har udgivet en rapport under søgningen “Teacher Education Mathematics”: ABSTRACT ABSTRACT Increased efforts to diversify science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education in the United States have increased the number of studies regarding the experiences of women in STEM programs in higher education. Using citation analysis and data visualization, this study aims to determine the major publishers and journals in this area. We reviewed 647 articles published between 2007 and 2018. Citations were concentrated on a small core set of journals and then scattered over other publications. Overall, just 3% percent of the publications accounted for 25% percent of the citations. The ramifications for STEM librarians and collection development are discussed. Link til kilde
