eric.ed.gov har udgivet: The purpose of this curriculum guide is to help the first grade teacher in his endeavor to fulfill his teaching responsibilities. Space is provided for teacher’s additions, deletions, notes and criticisms which will be useful when the guide is revised. The guide is sectioned according to subject matter (English, math, science, and social studies). Vertical columns are arranged for each subject area relating the curriculum concepts to: curriculum performance objective, bilingual, suggested curriculum teaching methods, career awareness, character education, and audio-visual and resource materials. eric.ed.gov har udgivet: This package contains student and teacher handbooks and a report summarizing a project during which the handbooks were developed as part of a numeracy education course for adult basic and literacy education students. Discussed in the project report are the following: development of the course’s 7 numeracy education units, field testing of the units with 8 teachers and 110 students, subsequent revision of the units, and production of a math literacy curriculum and companion student and educator handbooks. Most studies concerning curriculum materials have been conducted in US and, therefore little is known about the nature of materials in other cultural-educational contexts. The aim of this paper is to identify the underlying cultural norms of potentially constructed classrooms, by analysing recurrent activities in the most commonly used Finnish teacher guides at primary-school level.
