In language arts, students maneuver their bodies into related positions and hold into a frieze they call “tableau.” The students and teachers are part of TheatreBridge, a four-year model demonstration and dissemination program lead by Quest Visual Theatre, a nonprofit company based in Lanham, Maryland. Activities from TheatreBridge feel like play, but whether the students are in math, science, or language arts, the learning from TheatreBridge is deeply serious. eric.ed.gov har udgivet: The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness, generalizability, and the permanency of the instruction with the touch math technique. Direct instruction was used to the instruction of the basic summation skills of the students with mild intellectual disabilities. A multiple probe design across the subjects was used in this study. The participants included three students with mild intellectual disabilities in inclusive classrooms. They were second grader and their ages were 7-8 years old. eric.ed.gov har udgivet: The project was conducted to make an online tutoring program for math word problem solving accessible to students with visual impairments (VI). An online survey of teachers of students with VI (TVIs) guided the decision to provide the math content in the form of an iPad app, accompanied by print and braille materials. The app includes audio descriptions of images that illustrate the math problems, an integrated Scratch Pad, options to adjust color and contrast, hints, and videos showing how to solve sample problems.
