tandfonline.com har udgivet en rapport under søgningen “Teacher Education Mathematics”: Abstract Abstract This paper presents a longitudinal classification of the impact that universities have on strategy research from three decades of publications, between 1987 and 2016, by using bibliometric techniques and distance-based analysis of networks applied at the level of universities. Using the WoS database, this study proposes a general overview of three decades of strategic management research. Using these techniques we (i) categorize the last 30 years of academic production of research institutions in terms of strategy, evaluating their impact; (ii) analyze which universities are publishing the most in journals whose scope of publication covers strategic management; and (iii) map the network of collaboration structures among research organizations, determining its relationship and analyzing its evolution in those three decades. We… Continue Reading →

tandfonline.com har udgivet en rapport under søgningen “Teacher Education Mathematics”: ABSTRACT ABSTRACT From 2012 USA universities entered new partnerships with private sector companies including Silicon Valley start-up Coursera. Coursera spearheads a new broad online learning segment of the fast growing global ‘educational technology’ (EdTech) sector. They offered free ‘massive open online courses’ (MOOCs) for global, universal learner audiences. Since 2015 several USA universities and Coursera expanded into ‘post-MOOC’, paid, accredited online modules and full degrees. We frame these post-MOOC developments as shaped by dynamic EdTech/university relationships and argue universities have been actively, and willingly, re-shaping higher education with EdTech; they are not passive victims of a potentially disruptive global ‘MOOC phenomenon’. Our argument builds on interviews at six highly committed USA universities and at Coursera. These reveal rationales for post-MOOC… Continue Reading →

tandfonline.com har udgivet en rapport under søgningen “Teacher Education Mathematics”: Abstract Abstract Examining post-election statements made by UC System, UT-Austin, and UW-Madison executive leadership, this study employs word frequency, collocation, and a three-pronged latent semantic analysis to explicate the associative diction, major concepts, and institutional priorities expressed by said leadership to answer the research question, “What is the purpose and function of a post-election statement made by postsecondary executive leadership?” Results reveal that system-level leaders address broad coalitions, avoid action semantics, and reiterate system principles, whereas institution-level leaders perform reactive semantics while promising campus community action. Implications for campus community members, as well areas of future linguistic research, are addressed. Link til kilde

Most rankings are based on both public data, such as student test scores and retention rates, and proprietary data, such as school reputation as perceived by high school counselors and academic peers. The weights applied to these characteristics to compute the rankings are often determined in a subjective fashion. Of significant importance in the academic field, the Carnegie Classification was developed by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.… Continue Reading →
