The special issue was inspired by work funded by the National Science Foundation under a grant titled “SUMMIT-P.” The special issue includes papers written about projects both from SUMMIT-P and from outside of SUMMIT-P. tandfonline.com har udgivet en rapport under søgningen “Teacher Education Mathematics”: ABSTRACT ABSTRACT This essay introduces the present special issue on wisdom and moral education, which draws on a conference held in Oxford in 2017. Some of the seven contributions (by Sanderse; Ferkany; and Hatchimonji et al.) make use of the Aristotelian concept of phronesis, or practical wisdom, while others focus more on the wisdom concept as it has developed in contemporary psychology (Huynh and Grossman; Ardelt; and Brocato, Hix and Jayawickreme). One (by Swartwood) straddles the distinction between the two. All the contributions, however, address in different ways practical questions about how wisdom can be evaluated and how it relates to issues of moral development and education. Link til kilde

The articles present conceptual frameworks of ECE collaboration, explore the ways that organizations form and sustain ECE collaborations, and share findings regarding the outcomes of the collaborations. The studies employ a range of methods, including qualitative approaches, descriptive statistical analyses, regression analyses of survey data, network analysis, and mixed methods analyses. The articles and commentary in this special issue describe specific implications for policy and practice. Link til kilde

The papers in this issue fall into two broad themes. The first theme uses the intersection to address better management of care including physical design layout. The second theme examines innovative uses of the triad to prevent critical and non-critical safety events. The collection of papers culminates with a position paper reporting on the interdependence that is emerging as an important triad for research and practice within medical education, system development and testing, and teamwork and communication and concludes with reducing imprecision and factual errors in handoffs. We discuss Hannah’s early life, the development of business history prior to the launch of the London School of Economics’ Business History Unit (BHU), together with Hannah’s contribution to business history research and disciplinary development during and after his time as BHU director.
