tandfonline.com har udgivet en rapport under søgningen “Teacher Education Mathematics”: ABSTRACT ABSTRACT Once the excitement of creating a new journal fades and publication begins, a new challenge arises in sustainability. Augusta University published the first issue of their undergraduate research journal, The Arsenal, in 2016. Although the first two issues received consistent submissions and timely processing by the peer-reviewers, several unanticipated factors have influenced the journal’s continued publication. Some of these factors include graduation of the student editorial board, faculty turnover, research agendas for mentoring faculty, and institutional review board (IRB) requirements. This article identifies the challenges of sustaining publication of The Arsenal and discusses possible solutions to ensure continued publication. Link til kilde

eric.ed.gov har udgivet: Since its inception in 2002, the National Center for Education Research (NCER) in the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) has funded over 700 education research grants and over 60 education training grants. The research grants have supported exploratory research to build theory or generate hypotheses on factors that may affect educational outcomes, development and innovation research to create or refine academic interventions, evaluation studies to test the efficacy and effectiveness of interventions, and measurement work to help develop more accurate and valid assessments, and the training grants have helped prepare the next generation of education researchers. NCER’s education research grantees have focused on the needs of a wide range of students, from pre-kindergarten through postsecondary and adult education, and have tackled a variety of topic areas. His project is forensic, mounting a case framed in terms of a dichotomy between the Greek ethical and political tradition of Plato and Aristotle which emphasizes civic virtue (Pocock’s classical republicanism), and the Roman-law based constitutionalism of Cicero (Skinner’s version). But this is too easy. Cicero was heavily influenced by Aristotle; and the very survival of Western civilization depended on translation movements, Greek into Arabic and Arabic into Latin, under the Abbasid and Cordoba Caliphates, which preserved the classical Greek texts on which it rests, and recirculated them back to Europe.
