The particular lens is through Van Helmont’s studies in Louvain, taking place in the 1590s. It shows that teaching at Louvain had a profound impact on Van Helmont’s thought. The paper further points out that Van Helmont’s learning process did not include only traditional university courses, but also classes at the Jesuit college, and practical learning through Jesuits and artisans. A novel survey was created to determine a teacher’s perspective of his/her school culture, as well as to measure a teacher’s science achievement, math achievement, science self-efficacy, and math self-efficacy. The survey was administered at the beginning and end of the Physics and Integrated Math and Science Methods courses. Results show the changes of math and science self-efficacy beliefs and school culture beliefs. A trisomy 21 may be associated with a narrowing of visual attention to fewer than four objects at a time too. In a study with computer tachistoscopy, the hypothesis was confirmed in all 194 persons with trisomy 21. The subitising limit of persons with trisomy 21 thus has a value that lies between the value of neurotypical persons and persons with simultanagnosia. A fitting term would therefore be ‘simultandysgnosia’.
