Participating students received instruction in English as a Second Language (ESL); Haitian native language arts (NLA); and the content areas of mathematics, science, and computer science. Multicultural education was an integral part of programming. Teachers of participating students had the opportunity to attend weekly meetings, conferences, and workshops. Project CARISMA sought to establish an active parental component, which included ESL classes and educational field trips. Project CARISMA met its objectives for NLA; the content areas of science and computer science; dropout prevention; attendance; staff development; and parental involvement. It investigates whether, and to what extent, awareness-raising practices are currently implemented in EFL secondary education in the Netherlands, how these practices can be characterised, and how awareness-raising practices can be developed and further integrated into foreign language education. In a semi-structured interview, 10 teachers were asked to provide examples which they believed stimulated students’ awareness of language. A total of 41 teaching practices were collected. Analysis of teaching practices revealed that approximately half of all self-reported practices could be characterised as awareness-raising. eric.ed.gov har udgivet: The purpose of this two-year observational study was to determine if the use of technology and intervention groups affected fourth-grade math scores. Specifically, the desire was to identify the percentage of students who met or exceeded grade-level standards on the state standardized test. This study indicated possible reasons that enhanced conceptual understanding within the study group at a Title I elementary school. Throughout the two-year time period, the classroom teachers created mathematics awareness through technology, teamwork, engagement and rigor. The findings revealed a significant percent of fourth-grade students who used technology and participated in specific learning activities met or exceeded grade-level standards in math as measured by the Washington State standardized test. This is a descriptive field research and it was conducted with scanning model. This research’s study group consists of 254 (170 female and 84 male) education faculty students that are at 3rd and 4th grades of Computer, Math and Science Teaching Departments of Amasya University at 2015-2016 education year. As a data collecting tool, “FeTeMM awareness scale” -which was designed by Buyruk and Korkmaz- was used. Within data analyzing; mean, ANOVA, Schieffe and T-Tests were utilized.
