To explore main factors affecting students’ differential equations problem solving ability, articles for a 19-year period, from 1996 to 2015, were critically reviewed and analyzed. It was revealed that combination of four factors; “epistemological math problem solving beliefs, belief about usefulness of mathematics, self-regulated learning (SRL) strategies and goal orientations” have great potential to enhance differential equation problem ability. Based on these findings, a conceptual model was developed and presented in this paper to enhance differential equation problem solving ability. Middle school researchers have developed frameworks of best practices for schools that have been widely, if not uniformly, adopted. However, there is a paucity of large-scale quantitative research on the efficacy of such best practices. In this study we used state-level administrative data from Texas to estimate the school-level contribution to standardized test scores in math and language arts, along with absenteeism. We then regressed these value-added quantities on indicators of middle school structures, along with research-supported predictors of school efficacy. And when exclusion is the norm, it is bound to produce ideological justifications for the systemic problems produced by it. I therefore question whether it is even possible to dismantle ableism in schools without addressing the political economic dimension of schooling under Capitalism. The issue concerning the relationship between exclusion and disablement is particularly pertinent in India today because a far-right party has just been re-elected and a new education policy has been drafted that proposes to provide multiple ‘exit’ options to children, which actually means multiple exclusion options. The aim of this study is to investigate the structural validity of the full PSDQ–S composite scale and 11 subscales using the Rasch Measurement Model. 117 healthy children (65 males and 52 females; M = 10 years, 2 months, SD = 1 year, 4 months) completed the PSDQ–S. The PSDQ–S’s rating scale functioning, dimensionality, hierarchical ordering, differential item functioning (DIF), and item and person separation reliability were examined.
