Participants are 256 Finnish and 276 German ninth graders. The survey consists of 18 scales that are based on the theory of personal meaning. The original German version was translated into Finnish. Using item response theory (IRT) partial credit models, the psychometric properties of the scales were found to be good. As statistical procedure, Differential Item Functioning (DIF) analysis and mean comparisons were conducted to compare the two groups’ (FIN and GER) responses. Low achievers were compared to high and moderate achievers on their motivation, self-regulation, and attitudes toward their school and teachers. eric.ed.gov har udgivet: This study examined the effect of implementing personal devices into a fifth-grade mathematics classroom. Thirty-eight fifth graders participated in this eight-week project with a focus on six students to track their growth. During this study, students engaged in technology-based stations that pertained to our geometry unit and coordinate unit. Students took pre and post tests on paper to track progress. In addition, students completed online assessments within their practice websites to track comprehension and growth of the content.
